How to read this map
Each coloured hexagon is the centre of an area: that hexagon plus its 6 neighbours, about a 5-minute walk across. Brighter colour (purple to pale yellow) = more people there in the chosen session, all visitors. Pick the day and session (09-12, 12-15, 15-18) in the Filters panel on the left; it opens on Saturday 12-15. Click or hover a hexagon for who is there, from their home areas: ages, female share, bad health, no-car homes, and the share of visitors who are high need (their home area is High or Very High MHIP). Figures are estimates from a sample of phones, each counted as the residents of its home area; time at home is left out. Bright green outlines = the 8 candidate van areas of the brief, listed in the key; hover one for its number. Dots = health and care places from OpenStreetMap. Period: term (default), school holiday or all. White line = Thames Freeport councils. Other layers (hotspots by hour) are off; switch them on in the Layers panel.
